    NPC proficiency bonus

I build my NPCs but creating a PC and then moving the stats over to a NPC sheet. But by doing this when I put them in the combat tracker fantasy grounds doesn't calculate spell save DCs correctly. I have added a "Spellcasting" trait letting FG know that it calculates INT but how can I let it know to add the proficiency bonus for a level 10 wizard?

You can override the automatic calculation of the spell save by including in the spellcasting trait the following:

"The <name> is a xth level spellcaster who uses intelligence as their spellcasting ability (+x to hit with spell attacks, spell save DC x)". Replace the x's with the correct number.

EDIT: also if you have the CR correct and the correct ability score then the spell attacks and DC should work out automatically.

    Thank you!

EDIT: I made the CR 10 (for his level) and he has a 20 INT so +5. But nothing calculated in the CT. When I added the spellcasting trait of INT the CT calculated at Spell save DC of 12, missing the proficiency bonus.

In 5E, CR is not equal to NPC level.

No but a challenge rating 10 monster should have a proficiency bonus of +4 just like a level 10 wizard should have a bonus of +4 (at least according to the DMG)

I've just tested this and a CR 10 spellcaster with and INT bonus of 5 appears to be correctly showing a DC of 17 and a +9 to attack. I am guessing that somewhere along the line there is a small error in your NPC which is preventing the correct calculation

Sorry for the necro, but I am having a similar issue with my NPCs. Image attached. I've tried INT, Intelligence, and intelligence. Still no luck. Notice anything wrong?

The name of the trait needs to be Spellcasting rather than Divine Spellcaster. And the ability needs to be intelligence.

    Got it! That worked, thanks!

I'm having a similar problem with FG Unity.

To me it seems like the CR proficiency under the hood look-up is wrong. I made a 2nd level spellcaster, and had to use a CR of 9 to get a +2 proficiency bonus...
CR2 got me no proficiency bonus at all. CR5-8 gives +1. This does not seem to be in line with the standard table.
