Adventureaweek - Free "preview" module - The Ties That Bind

Hey, all. I know I post a lot about adventureaweek, but I just noticed they have a "free" module available for review right now, Shattered Heart 1: The Ties That Biind. I put this in quotes as it looks like it is "read only" such that you can view it in your browser, but not a downloadable pdf. At least it will give you a good idea of the quality of the adventures if you are considering any of them.

On a separate, but related note, I really like their "full" adventures such as crypt of the sun lord and alagoran's gem. In some of the early modules there were what I consider "map issues" in that things like secret doors were visible, there were "locks" visible on locked doors and things that shouldn't be in player maps. Hopefully some of that is now corrected with the newer modules.

For the mini-dungeons I'm still torn. I like to order everything through fantasy grounds but at $2.99 each, I have a difficult time recommending those that i've purchased as the maps are very bare bones with no props and sometimes no doors and still issues with no player/dm maps but rather only one which shows secret doors, etc.. (To be clear, the Fantasy Grounds price is the same as on the AAW website. My comment is just about the value, not the Fantasy Grounds price.). Now in fairness the ones I have are older like Hobgoblin Lair, Soularium and the Goblin Warren. Maybe these issues have been addressed. Finally, if you want to get an idea about these adventures to see what you think, drivethrurpg has some on sale for $.69. Again, I do like to purchase everything on Fantasy Grounds to support Smiteworks, but thought it might help folks to understand what the mini-dungeons are at a reduced price first.
