They made one as a nod to the old module in the way of Revenge of the Giants (of which I loved), so this makes sense and im really really looking forward to it ^_^

It has giants, but that's about where the "Against the Giants" comparison ends. It's a lot more than that series.

Everything I know is from the D&D Meltdown event, and what Chris Perkins described was as similar to Against the Giants as the 4e module Revenge of the Giants was, which means it wasn't very similar at all.

True that. Just as toee now and then and ravenloft etc. They just seem better now. Maybe it is the cover art ; )

Well Ravenloft is I6 module + more. Princes of the Apocalypse is Elemental Evil inspired, kind of a "what would this elemental influence be like in Faerun?" Storm King's Thunder seems to just be, "Hey, remember giants? Here's giants. A bunch of giants. You can kill them. Or don't. It's kind of up to you."

Its always fun to get some giants involved. They have a unique political structure which can lead to good times. Plus lets not forget they are adding runes which can be put on armor and weapons and basically upgrade your magical or non magical weapons. It should be interesting I think. Plus the 5e adventures have been amazing when it comes to map work from Mike Schley
