Defaults entries in Numbercontrols

Is there a way to default a number into a numbercontrol?

However, you can get around this for the time being by defining an invisible helper field, using it as a value source and value mapping 0 to your default value. This can even be more desireable in some cases (such as if you want to reset the field to the default rather than 0).
