Using a spell more than once
Can I prepare the same spell more than once so I can cast it multiple times in a day as long as I place the additional copies in a slot of that spell level or higher?

For clarity, I take it you're asking about the 3.5e D&D ruleset?

The answer really depends on the ruleset (i.e. game system) you are using.
In 3.5E and PFRPG, for Memorization spell casters, you would prepare multiple copies of the spell in the Preparation mode on the Actions tab of the PC sheet.
In 5E, you only need to "prepare" a spell once for 5E, and then you are only limited by the spell slots which are manually decremented as you use them. (Since spells can be boosted and slots can be used to cast lower level spells, it's not obvious which slot is used when you cast a spell.)
