    So . . I have had a copy of Campaign Cartographer for years but never really messed with it until a few months ago since I need maps for my 5E campaign. It's been nothing but a headache trying to get it to do what I want and I honestly don't have another few months to get over the learning curve. After stumbling onto this thread I figured I would give GIMP a try since CC was going nowhere for me. In less than 30 minutes (including downloading some extras) I had the prototype of a small old school map up and running in FG and even to the correct # of pixels to make the grid line up.

    Now I'm off to find some more tutorials and other goodies to download.

    Boom! When you become familiar with the terminology, you can also use photoshop tutorials as well ... The two programs do the exact same things ... Lots of luck ...
