UK's Telegraph: soldiers' kit from 1066 to 2014
This seems useful to a whole range of gamers: the Telegraph paper in the UK has put together a set of photos & descriptions of typical soldier's inventory for the past 1000 years. There is a link under the photos to a detailed description of all the items. This is strictly from the perspective of English soldiers, but at least provides some good details for reference. Enjoy!
