    Defenders and Marking

What is the best way to approach this? Is there a modifier that can apply - to hit against everything except a certain target that the game will understand. I am still pretty new to Fantasy Grounds and trying to learn.

You can add an effect called "Marked" to an entry in the combat tracker. Then, drag the name of another combat tracker entry onto the new effect (while editing effects) to set the Source of the effect. Then, marking will be applied.

If you enter the power/NPC description as listed in the rulebooks, you should be able to mouse over the "marked" text, FG will highlight the text and you should be able to double-click to apply to current targets (if any) or drag onto a token or CT entry. This will automatically apply the Source of the effect.

    Cheers,

In a game with multiple defenders it can get confusing as to who's mark is on the monster. You can solve that problem by each defender adding a simi-colon and his name. IE "Marked; Vardak" and "Marked; Fang". This will keep the marks separate but they won't automatically override each other any more - so if they are constantly overriding each others marks this may be more of a pain than a help.
