Trying out some cavern maps
Hi guys
I am starting a campaign shortly and needed some underground battle maps. After a bit of online research, I chose GIMP as my weapon of choice.
These are my first couple of maps and I am looking for some feedback (good or bad). There is no descriptive text at the moment. I just want feed back on what the players will see. Mainly on whether the extra darkening on the solid walls is required.

They do look nice. Good job. I like the darker one myself.

Yeah... I also had decided that the darker one looked better. OK, that's my template colours for an underground cavern/caves map. I can turn a map out in less than an hour.
Two things I want to add into later maps are water and/or a chasm. Also might put in a layer with rubble, spider webs etc

I'll be watching what you come up with in terms of water. I've never been happy with what I've tried so far.
