HeroLab import to NPC?
Hi,
I use HeroLab for generating all of my encounters as I used the Tactical Console for combat tracking. Now I'm getting into FG, can I import the encounters to FG NPCs and encounters?
Also, is there a way to convert Characters into NPCs and vice-versa?
Cheers,
Ian

posted the below on yout other thread:
You will need to run the import program found in your folder C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Fantasy Grounds II\utilities.
You can easily find the folder by starting up FG and click on the folder icon in the right top corner.

The Character Converter Tiqon mentions is just for importing PCs, not NPCs. There is not a direct way to convert PCs to NPCs and vice-versa as the data structures are quire different.
You can import NPCs from Hero Lab by exporting the statblocks, making minor changes, and using the Creature Parser: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...2-Beta-Version Details in Hero Lab in post #2.
I haven't fully tested the Hero Lab spell parsing in V2 of the creature parser, so if you have any issues with spell casters you may have more luck using the old V1 creature parser that doesn't do spell parsing: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...-Alpha-release
There is not a way to import Hero Lab encounters directly to FG encounter entries.Private Messages: My inbox is forever filling up with PMs. Please don't send me PMs unless they are actually private/personal messages. General FG questions should be asked in the forums - don't be afraid, the FG community don't bite and you're giving everyone the chance to respond and learn!
