My issue is that when I make form fillable chronicles myself in Acrobat.. they are screwy when I open the signed version in Acrobat Reader. They don't come out like the old form fillable PDFs (which were completely uneditable).. the fields are still editable (sorta) I got a few chronicles like this from GMs a while back and it made me not want to run with them because they seemed bogus...
I am at a loss as to how to make a proper chronicle now without tons of sloppy scanning.

You need to make sure that the "signed" properties of the digital signature object on the form is set to "mark as read only", the default is "nothing happens when signed".

I'm still having trouble... it won't let me save the fillable form once I bring it into Acrobat Reader.. I have to do the editing in Acrobat.. this isn't a huge issue.. but it makes it a bit cumbersome.
    It gives me the message:
    Cannot Save Form Information
    ...

Once you have done the editing within Acrobat (i.e created the form fields), save the file with: File -> Save As -> Reader Extended PDF -> Enable Additional Features. Make sure you save to a different filename than the master copy you edit in Adobe Acrobat.

Hrm. My version of Acrobat doesn't seem to offer those options to me under Save As...
    I'm running Acrobat 8.0 Pro
