As none of the Ruleset aficionados have created a 13th Age ruleset yet, I've been using the 4E ruleset for my current game. I double the player's actual level on the sheet so the level bonus is correct, I pick the Median stat for their defenses (using Fort for PD and Will for MD), and make sure all Attacks vs PD & MD target Fort & Will accordingly. I never really got to in all the effects & modifiers for 4E though, and I'm curious if there were some pre-built effects/properties I could use in 13th Age.

Damage on miss--this is a really big one in 13th Age--is there any way to set this for a weapon property?

Escalation Die -- A variable the DM can set that the players can see which adds to their attack rolls. Right now just have a picture of the numbers 0 to 6, and I move a token to the current number each turn, and the players just remember to add the bonus (usually).
