Creating a tab icon
1) Does anyone know what font the texts on the tab icons use?
2) I have created a new icon. But I cannot get it to look like the others. They only highlight the text when they have focus. Mine always look like it has a different colour, even though it has a transparent background just like the other ones.
I have attached an image of how it looks on my server.
TIA,
Peter

Digging back through my notes:
- Create the label in Segoe UI 9pt;
- In Paint.NET convert the image to a clear background with black foreground;
- Use Paint.NET drop shadow, with (0,0) offset, widening radius of 3, blur radius of 5 and white as the shadow colour; and
- Save as a PNG file, 64x14px, with 3px space below the font baseline.
Hope that helps,
Stuart

As a note to those who would like to use Stuarts tip. Remember to save in 32 bit colours! Otherwise you might be a bit bewildered when your image is saved with a white background instead of an transparent one...
