Like the title says I been looking for a 2E group for awhile. Would also be interested in 1E or giving DCC a go. I spent the money to buy my 2E basics (PM/DMG/MM/FH/RH) etc but can't find a game :-/ thought I found a group but it is on hiatus.....any places I might otherwise look?
If you have been looking for a while then my suggestion is to run a game.
There are always way more players than GMs.
Start a group and tell them that we will be rotating GMs.
Everyone needs to take a turn running something whether it is a one shot, a short campaign or something longer.
Did you post in discord? I see 2e games open up occasionally. Leo runs DCC funnels periodically too. My last funnel I ran I couldn't get enough players.
I run a DCC RPG campaign (currently accepting players) on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. (-4 UTC), runs about 3 hours; and occasional one-shots.
Somewhat late to the party, but two things to consider.
* Use something other than the forums to search for players or groups. My postings on the forum for games routinely draw no response, or worse the "I'll play if you run this other system instead." I've had good luck with Reddit's LFG group or a game specific group.
*I've gotten a lot of good players over the years through running a small campaign in something like 5e and then offering to run another campaign in a system I like for the good players. So, hook 'em with 5e and then start over in 2e.
You may want to sign up for Garycon and play some one shots there.
There is a relatively high proportion of AD&D.
