Spell Token Options for Fantasy Grounds Unity (DnD5e Ruleset mainly)
This topic can be very elusive, diverse, and NOT a one-solution-fits-all situation or need.
Some of the content listed herein might work for other rulesets, especially the free and non-extension solutions.
Some options are free, some have costs, and some are more or less GM intensive.
This sort of thing does require familiarity with the FGU platform and the assets used to achieve these options. Most of the options cover the DnD5e Ruleset.
However, some of the links below are more universal or diverse than other options.

Option 2: Manually Add your tokens: (Free/$paid options) [Low to Medium to High Complexity] More DM/GM Intensive
Create, buy, or find your token art assets, add them to FGU in the tokens folder in the FGU data area and add them to a map for your players.

Would also like to see something like this, on how to deal with token stacks...and the different options available...which becomes an issue when you do use Spell Tokens.

Most of the time, token stacks cannot be resolved easily without some form of shift and click function via an extension. I know that Diablo Bob's DM tools has a "resolve token stack" option, not sure about other third part content. The information provided was to provide options to look into, not so much to troubleshoot FG functionality or potential limitations. And, if you have the time to check it out, the provided video link under the Critically Awesome Essentials DM tools does cover and mention the resolve function.
