The calendar time listing for Nov 24 is an hour too early (since it was created before the daylight savings time change, and the listing didn't auto-correct for it).
So no one is confused, the proper time is: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclo...9&p1=3919&ah=3
The companions begin their journey back to Dale and are attacked by gorecrows, which scare away some of their ponies but don't manage to harm their heavily-injured companion, Saxulf. Saxulf gets a fever during the night, which the companions heal, and Saxulf gives Lifstan a message to take to Dale, thinking that he wouldn't survive the night. Nemir tells Saxulf of what she found out from the elven notes and they share a moment of levity and mild joy, before Saxulf begins to slip into unconsciousness. Before he does, though, he confesses his love to Nemir in a feverish haze. Nemir spent her sleepless night on watch writing a letter to give to Saxulf, should he survive the journey back. On the journey forward, they are attacked by an orc war band but somehow, they manage to flee to a defensible hill and survive the first wave. After a volley of arrows after the first wave, a group of elven wardens appear and drive off the remaining orcs. After thanking them for their help, Nemir, Lifstan, and Achernar plead with the elves to help Saxulf and told them about the dangers that they'd encountered when asked about it. The elves agree to help Saxulf, and to escort them through Mirkwood. The leader of the elf wardens was revealed to be Legolas, prince of Mirkwood.
Another great write up. Thanks, Poppyseed!
We playing this Sunday, right? Looks like I’m the only player to confirm so far.
The companions return towards Galford through Mirkwood, accompanied by the elven wardens. Tension brews between the dwarves and some of the wardens and the company have to fend off a giant toad but it’s an overall uneventful journey. They do encounter a patch of forest that seems to have been tainted by the shadow and Nemir helps as the elves heal some of it and are forced to burn away the centre of it. Legolas and the elven wardens take Nemir to a beautiful gazebo one night at camp, which shows the light of the stars and is illuminated through a few elven words. The human companions, Achernar and Lifstan, also listen as the wardens talk about the constellations and share knowledge about the stars, while the dwarven companions – Beli and Beldan – look on, suspicious and confused at elven fascination with the stars.
They arrive at Galford and rest, with Achernar and Lifstan speaking to merchants and the innkeeper about trade. Beli buys drinks for everyone sharing a table with them and it’s a good night. The next couple of days, they return towards Dale but Frar’s people approach them and surround them, outnumbering the companions by a lot. Frar tries to convince the companions to release the treasure that they’re transporting, even resorting to bribery at one point, but the companions convince them to stake their claim to the treasure through the proper means. After that encounter, they reach Dale, ready to sort out the claim to the treasure, and rest.
Great summary, Poppyseed! But the Grey Mountain Dwarves protest: it was fair and proper payment, not bribery! Such an unkind word :)
I forgot to write down how much current XP and AP Beli has. And I don’t recall all my specific skills. How can I get a copy of my char sheet?
