Hi
If I (the host and Keeper) buy the 7e rules, do my players all (or any) have to but the Investigators guide? Assuming they dont care to have access to specific or situational rules and trust me to do it.

Only the GM needs the ruleset.
You can share the 7E reference module and they will have sufficient info to build characters.
If you buy the Investigator Guide you are also able to share it with Players.
Just thought I'd point out one more thing about the GM sharing books since it's a pretty nifty feature. Once you buy the rules (for instance), your players, even with the free version assuming you are GMing with Ultimate, will have access to the rulebook while you have the server running. So I usually run the server the night before our games so players can log on to look stuff up as needed. But the cool part is that they only have access to the the parts you allow them--so they can have full run of the rules, but not the two included scenarios or the monster stats etc. That way they don't have to worry about accidentally seeing spoilers as they flip through.
"accidentally" :)
