It would be very useful to have an effect to make someone immune to having their hit point maximum reduced, without also making them immune to all of the source damage; by way of example, if I have a player who has an effect with 'IMMUNE: max' and a creature with an attack that deals necrotic damage that also reduces the target's hp by the amount of damage dealt, that attack would probably read in the combat tracker something like 'DMG: 2d6 necrotic,max' or something similar. With the way that is arranged, the player would take no damage from the attack, rather than taking the damage and only ignoring the HP reduction.
