Loving the tool tips and feature adds with the hover tips and transparencies! Apologies in advance if you've covered elsewhere - Question: What is the functionality of the TT and AI tick boxes on the combat tracker?
TT is Turn Taken - It's to help the GM keep track of who has taken their turn till the next round of action during combat. You can see a similar tracker for NPC ships as well
AI is Avoid Injury - This is to help keep track of who has used their Avoid Injury as it's only allowed once per scene. In some cases there is cause for multiple uses for this, but a helpful reminder for the GM.
Excuse me for the probably dumb question, but I'm quite new to the Fantasy Grounds realm; is this ruleset compatible with F.G. Classic or not?
Thanks
Got it, thanks a lot
On the screenshots on the product page, it shows a Character Creator tab. How do you bring this up or did this get removed last minute as it may have problems with expansion books. Anyway, really like the rule set and in the process of trying to find all the pros and cons of it. I hope Smite Works takes over development of the Conan ruleset as that has numerous expansion books that people have been waiting for a release of
That can be accessed through the Character Creator button when you click on characters from the sidebar.
Thank, have another question how do you manually enter in attributes and disciplines or change them on a character sheet? I can't figure that out as I see and have been unable to find no way to manual enter or change the number. Also, if you are adding in a species not from the Core book that has a attribute bonus of fitness +1 or pressence +1 listed for one of the 3 attributes each species has how would you do it? Was thinking setting it to Choice might work and in the species description making a note about the choice being limited.
There is an edit button in the top right corner of the frame that will allow you to increase/decrease using up/down arrows. You might want to check out the wiki for more information as it covers many of the basics of the system. As for the species question. Adding them to the details tab will add them when you drop the species to the character sheet or make them available when chosen in the character creator.

The species I'm trying to add has Attributes of +1 Control, +1 Reason, +1 Fitness or +1 Presence. The +1 Fitness or + 1 Presence is the one witch can't be set in details that I'm having trouble with. I set in details tab Control, Reason, and Choice and made a note in the species description that the Choice is limited to Fitness or Presence, since I see no way to limit Choice to just 2 attributes for the time being. The Ktarian from the Alpha Quadrent book is one with the Choice being limited. I added in all the species from the Alpha, Beta, Gama, and Delta Quadrent books last night and only couldn't easily add in the Ktarian. Not sure if any of the other official species in other products or fan made ones will have similar or other entry problems as that is over 100 species to look at from combined official and fan stuff. Official is about 20 more to do and fan is well over 80 with more being added almost every day. So anyway to limit a Choice on a species?
The only way I can think of is to try and see the choice option as you mentioned earlier. There is always the manual option and making a note of it in the species record. I unfortunately only worked with the Core Rulebook I was given. Once I see other books, changes could be made.
Thanks for the replies. The wiki link was a little help still figuring out some things about the ruleset. But I got just about everything figured out at this point. The purple boxes and buttons I'm noticing are easy to miss if you're working with the set at 2:00 AM in the morning.
Modiphious is supposed to be working on an updated Errata file for the STA game line the last one is from 2018. All the errata from 2018 is supposed to be in the current version of the Core book. Some newer errata has been posted on the Modiphius, forums, reddit, mentioned in videos.
Some other things to watch out for if you do the supplement books:
The Player's Guide has rules for non-starfleet characters, and the character generation get changed up big time.
The Klingon Core book uses the same STA Core rules but makes changes for Klingon characters and campaigns and added in in some fixes. The Klingon book also has an alternate reputation system to use that with Core book characters you have to download a free PDF of how to adapt them to starfleet characters.
Link is bellow it and some of the other free things like the old errata PDFs. They have other free things on DrivethruRPG and on the Modiphius store.

Just remembered I have to enter in the Tribble after I posted that link as a species. :)
The Tricorder digest version of the rules is the most current form of the rules and it takes precedence when you see difference in stats, rules, in the original STA Core and Klingon Core.
The space frames in the various STA books have errors or got changes, the new Utopia Planitia book has the most current and corrected version of them.
If you do the Operations Division book make sure you include the Red Alert rules from it and VTT version of the counters in it as tokens.
Is there a star trek entry on the wiki that I missed? I just see 2d20 with fallout and conan.
Hi, quick question is there a code for the Symbol arrow head (Challenge die) to appear when I write text?
No, that's why it was replaced through the reference manual to the custom die setup for the roll (#dC6)
Thanks for the quick reply
This is probably the biggest thing I saw in the Sneak Peak (which so far looks like the only video showing off the new system?). The old reputation is baked into the UI, and the new reputation is a fairly significant departure. It's probably not too big a deal since it can all be done manually anyway, but it might cause issues down the road depending on how the inner workings... work.
One other thing the sneak peek didn't show was an actual combat scene. It looked like effects were rolled but since it was just an example roll nothing happened; do they work in combat as they should?
The system in place is anchored with the core rulebook I was given by the publisher. The damage effects are in STA.
So I just created a campaign, using the STA ruleset, and I don't seem to have the LCARS UI. How do I activate it?
The official Star Trek ruleset should have the theme shown on the store page. There is a forge ruleset in the Forge that was released by a community member, but this is not the official ruleset. I would also check to make sure you have not enabled another theme extension prior to loading the campaign.
Aha, I had selected one of the FG themes, because I thought I had to. Thanks for clearing up that simple thing.
Another question: is there a guide somewhere to making species formatted similarly to the actual module, if I wanted to add homebrew stuff? Specifically with bold, italics, bullet points, and linking to talents. I can export a created species, and edit its xml from the exported module, and I'm familiar with basic xml, but I want it to look similar. I'm mostly wondering about how to link to allowed talents in a description when I create a species.
The best start would be the wiki

There are also many videos that may help with setting up campaign data from our resident guru:

Also from another community that is geared towards helping each other learn and use FG to it's highest potential:

I too have a question: I'm putting in the ship from the starter set. Improved hull gives +1 to resistance. How can I adjust the resistance on a ship? Also how can I adjust power too? It stays at 0/0
I asked something similar in the bugs thread, about Ablative Armor not automatically changing resistance. If you hold control and use the mouse scroll wheel you can change most number fields up and down manually. It would be nice if this ability was more apparent in the UI or able to be done via the edit pencil thing like most other items, but it does add a little number in the corner of the edited field so you know it's been manually changed.
I would recommend checking out the wiki for the ruleset along with the CoreRPG information. This can help answer some inquiries. This particular feature is covered under the character sheet entry

I can't quite figure out how to create star ships. I seem to remember from the stream that frames could be dragged to a ship sheet, but that doesn't seem to work. What am I missing? Is it manual entry only?
Thanks.

I ran into this. Once you create a new ship in the party sheet, you have to double click its token. It's extremely not obvious, but once you open the ship that way you can drag frames and profiles. A ship created in the party sheet can only be fully edited that way—even though it's added to the 'ships' list, editing from that list treats it as an npc ship.
Thanks.
I thought it was able to be used to create NPC ships and not just player ships. Seems like an oversight.
You can create NPC ships from both places, it's only player ships that need the 'double click on token' process. The sneak peak is available on youtube if you need the exact process.
I have expanded this to that if you use the 'Create Item' radial option on the party sheet it will open the empty PC ship sheet and the master indexes for the frames and profiles
This is based on the CoreRPG ruleset, right? If so, how compatible are things like CoreRPG extensions (e.g. https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...ity-Extensions)? Or is it determined on a case-by-case basis?
You can give them a try in a brand new campaign to see how they work with the ruleset. There is no guarantee that a CoreRPG extension will work flawlessly with any ruleset. I checked out the link and that is a tad old of a post. Which extension did you have your eyes on?
I'm not saying that the main issue would be out of date, but depends on what that extension changes. Some are available for every CoreRPG based ruleset, but still can cause issues and not work properly in some rulesets. Would need some testing to ensure and best to do so in a separate campaign to not mess up your current one.
Question about the Party Sheet Advancement Tab, what do the abbreviations AR, SP and ST stand for? I can't seem to find them in the core book or FG wiki?
edited: After looking over again appears it might be AR (Arc), SP (Milestone Spotlight) and ST (Standard)?
Thanks and great work on the ruleset!

I manually entered the Centaur class from the Command book, including the details, but I can't seem to drag the frame onto the ship once I've created it on the Party screen. Is there something I'm missing?
